Last updated: April 2026

Who this applies to

This policy applies to all marketing communications sent by PASSIA Travel (ABN 79 351 805 697), including email marketing, SMS (if applicable), and digital advertising. It applies to all subscribers and customers regardless of location, and is designed to comply with:

  • The Australian Spam Act 2003
  • The Australian Privacy Act 1988
  • The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)
  • The EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR)
  • Meta advertising platform policies
  • Google advertising platform policies

How we obtain consent for marketing

We will only send you direct marketing communications if you have given us clear, affirmative consent. This means:

  • You have ticked an opt-in checkbox (which is not pre-ticked) on our website
  • You have submitted your email address through a clearly labelled marketing signup form, such as our waitlist or resource download forms
  • You have purchased from us and opted in to receive marketing at the time of purchase

We do not add people to our marketing lists based on a business card, a general enquiry, or any form of inferred consent. Every contact in our marketing list has actively opted in.

What we send

When you subscribe to our marketing list, you may receive:

  • Product updates and launch announcements
  • Travel content, guides, and resources
  • Presale and early access information
  • Occasional promotional offers

Every marketing email includes a clear unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time and your request will be processed immediately.

How we use marketing platforms

Mailchimp We use Mailchimp to manage our email subscriber list and send marketing communications. Your email address and any information you provide is stored securely in Mailchimp in accordance with their privacy policy. Mailchimp is GDPR compliant and certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

When you submit a form on our website, we may tag your contact record in Mailchimp with information such as how you found us, what resources you downloaded, or your survey preferences. This helps us send relevant content rather than generic emails.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram) We run advertising on Meta platforms including Facebook and Instagram. We use:

  • The Meta Pixel to track visits to our website and measure advertising performance
  • Custom audiences built from our email list (uploaded to Meta in hashed form)
  • Lookalike audiences based on our existing subscribers and customers
  • Retargeting campaigns to show advertising to people who have previously visited our website

Meta processes data in accordance with their own Data Policy. If you do not wish to be included in Meta Custom Audiences, you can opt out by contacting us at hello@passia.co and we will remove your data from any uploaded audience lists.

Google We use Google Ads for search and display advertising, and Google Analytics 4 to understand website performance. We may use:

  • Google Ads remarketing tags to show advertising to previous website visitors
  • Customer match to upload hashed email lists for targeting
  • Audience building based on website behaviour

You can manage your Google advertising preferences at adssettings.google.com.

Microsoft Clarity We use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymised session activity on our website, including heatmaps and scroll behaviour. This data is used solely to improve website usability and is not used for advertising purposes.

Data retention for marketing

We retain your marketing data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we will retain a suppression record of your email address to ensure we do not accidentally re-add you to our list. You can request full deletion at any time by contacting hello@passia.co.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the link in any email
  • Request access to the data we hold about you for marketing purposes
  • Request deletion of your marketing data
  • Object to your data being used for profiling or targeted advertising
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@passia.co.

  • Report to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) at acma.gov.au if you are in Australia
